Premium Adjustable Power Rack Pull-Up Handles: Antafit Raven Hanger Review
Hey guys, this is Michael with the Jungle Gym Reviews. Today we're reviewing the Antifit Ravenhanger. This is very similar to the Titan Fitness adjustable pull-up bar that I've recently reviewed in the fact that it's an adjustable pull-up bar that mounts onto your rack, but rather than a dedicated system this mounts to any 3x3 rack either 5-8 or 1 inch. It has these rotating handles that go in 45 degree increments so you can end up doing neutral grip a little bit of supinated underhand grip. flat wide grip or store them out of the way in any 45 degree increment you want. In addition to that, they have these pop pins that allow it to be adjusted to any width side to side on the rack. Now the pop pins are only 5 eighth inch. So I have a one inch rack system here. So there's a little bit of play laterally once they're in the 5 eighth inch pins or in my one inch holes. But besides that the fit and finish is okay. I wouldn't say excellent. It's actually made from a company called AntaFit out of Vietnam and they're about $150.
Unfortunately, they cost about $90 shipping. It's a local inventor who does all the fabrication and everything himself. He makes some really unique and cool products, things like these, things like a counterballot and smith machine add-on. A ton of different machines obviously usually serves a little more local area. I wanted to check these out because they aren't that expensive and there's not a whole lot that exists like this. I mentioned the Titan fitness version that I reviewed in the past is about $140. Again, these cost $150 with $90 shipping.
Let's say about $250, but they're definitely an upgraded and premium version of those. The handles are 32 millimeter diameter, almost actually medium, light to medium, knurling, which gives you a perfect amount of grip just enough that you can really grip it and you don't lose or slip while doing multiple, multiple sets. It is solid chrome, I believe. So this is a thick, beefy, solid handle. Obviously here I have this 100 inch Titan series rack.
I'm six foot two and I have to get on my tippy toes in order to adjust it, which is fine. Now I did forget to mention how these actually slide left and right are. There are these UHMW sleeves with UHMW rollers on top.
So kind of like you've seen with trolley arms and other things, it has the rollers, which allow them to slide a little more effortlessly left to right. Now the first time I installed it, I tried to tighten it a little bit too much. The rollers did not move. So obviously when you go to install it, just make sure you tighten it just the perfect amount that there's not a lot of side to side play, but that the rollers can move left to right freely. They are in fact very smooth, very easy to use. As I mentioned that little bit of side to side play here from the five eighths pin and the one inch holes.
But once you actually start doing your pull-ups like such, they do not move at all because the force of you and gravity is enough to keep it from moving left to right. Overall for the price for 250 bucks, I think they're actually a really good value besides the little bit of play left to right and besides the fit and finish being on the average side. They're not bad.
It's just not great because they are small batch manufacturer. As far as improvements go, the only thing I'd like to see is that poppin have a one inch option and a five eighth inch option. Now if you order this, you will have mirroring poppins, meaning there will be a left side bracket and a right side bracket. As you can see here, it looks like I received two of the same version.
I did confirm with the owner that one of his employees messed up during the production. So I did get two of the same side brackets, but obviously that doesn't really matter or impact anything I'm doing. I really like these because you can quickly switch it from like a super narrow closed grip, which is one of the things I really like. Something like this, again, the knurling gives you that perfect grip amount. I love doing closed grip and you want a little more underhand.
It feels absolutely fantastic. Quickly then you can move it to be really wide. You can be really narrow.
You can change it to an overhand grip. It's super easy, super well made, and just a really good idea. As I've mentioned, I've done the Titan Fitness review before. That one is a budget alternative to this, but this is the first one I've seen that is a true big beefy, but I consider a more premium version. So if you're interested, check out Antifit.
